The Slaughter & May Senior Mooting Competition is the most prestigious internal mooting competition at UCL Laws. Open to all second years and above, including Erasmus and affiliate students, the moot problems are based around topics covered in the second year syllabus. Sign-ups for this year's competition have now closed.
Round 1 will be judged by members of faculty and barristers, but from Round 2 onwards, experienced solicitors from Slaughter & May will be judging the competition. The final will take place in the Supreme Court and, similarly to the JMC, will be judged by a senior member of the judiciary.
The Law Society has put together a detailed guide to mooting to help you develop your advocacy skills, which can be found here
