Pregnancy and Abortion Services

Brook runs a free information and support to under 25s throughout the UK about topics such as sex, relationships, pregnancy, abortion, having a baby, STIs and contraception. Ask Brook also run a free, confidential helpline - 0808 802 1234 (Monday-Friday 11:00am-3:00pm). The British Pregnancy Advisory Service is the UK's leading abortion care service.

173 Euston Road. HQ of the Quakers. Peace, love, big mugs of coffee, home made cakes, soups and snacks and 10% off if you flash your UCL student card. Has tons of quiet study space.

Cafe Caritas

30 Euston Square. Café in the Royal College of General Practitioners headquarters. Open 8am-8pm. Free WiFi and lots of tables for study. Really cheap menu

Upper Fleet Bakery @upperfleet

7-11 Upper Woburn Pl, London WC1H 0JW. Cavernous café in the ground floor of the County Hotel, half way between Bentham and Bidborough. Nice big tables for study. Soup, salad, quiche, etc. Free WiFi. 7.30am-7pm.

Senate House Library Café

Ground floor, South block Senate House. Fairtrade coffee, sarnies, soup and jacket potatoes in the UoL Library building. On Eduroam.

Presto Café - 1st Floor Cruciform Building

The UCL café that students outside of biomedical research don't know about. Does bacon sarnies in the morning.

155 Tottenham Court Road. Forget Pret. The best sandwiches, pastries and flatbreads are to be found at the London outpost of this German chain. Lots of tables in the basement. Free WiFi.

46 Goodge Street. 12” pizzas, prepared to order, from £4. Caters well for veggies and vegans. Perennial UCL student favourite.

SE Asian

Roti King

40 Doric Way, Euston, London NW1 1LH. The freshest and best roti canai in London for £4. Spun in the air and cooked in front of you by the Roti King himself. Fantastic kari laksa. Terrifying queues unless you arrive early.

Laksa King

126 Drummond Street NW1. If you can't get into Roti King, head to the other side of Euston station for this cheap and cheerful Malay/Chinese place.

Chop Chop Noodle Bar

Freshly reopened after an unfortunate run-in with Camden Council's environmental health department. Cheap and tasty SE Asian meals from £4.50. Eat in or take away 5 mins from Bidborough.

H-Mart Korean Supermarket

115 Tottenham Court Road. W1T 5AH. Huge range of fresh and preserved Korean food at low prices. Also sells K-pop and Korean cosmetics, a surprisingly large number of which are made from snail mucous. Really.

Nyonya Singaporean Kitchen

11 Warren Street. W1T 5LG. Straits Chinese lunchtime place (eat in or takeaway) with most meals around £6. Free prawn crackers!

327 Euston Road – Behind Warren St station. Superb food, excellent value lunch boxes. Eat a veggie Thali of basmati rice, bread, two veg curries, stir fried veg dish, and a dessert for £4 and £4.50 for a meat version.

Drummond Street

5 mins from Bidborough and famous for its Indian restaurants. Most offer ‘eat as much as you like' lunches for £6.95. The best are the vegetarians, Diwana (no 121), Chutneys (no 124), and Ravi Shankar (no 133).

Chettinad

16 Percy Street and Sagar 17a Percy Street W1T 1DT. Two neighbouring and rival south Indian restaurants off Tottenham Court Road. Both do excellent £5 lunchtime deals.
